Bagdaan Batyrkin

A cinematic music composer with a strong jazz‑theory foundation, Bagdaan Batyrkin began his musical journey studying jazz guitar, drums, performance, and improvisation across Eastern Europe (2011–2022).

Since relocating to Melbourne in 2022, he has focused on electronic music production and creative research, working across bespoke film scoring, sound design, and contemporary electronic composition while pursuing a Bachelor of Music in Electronic Music Production and Composition.

In 2024, he released his debut album The Ballad of the Vietnamese Tiger—an ambient, jazz‑infused work that blends cinematic, soundtrack‑inspired textures with the depth and colour of jazz harmony. The album reflects his ongoing pursuit of uniting music, narrative, and atmosphere into a cohesive artistic voice.

His broader interests extend into modern electronic and jazz research, luxury fashion culture, cinematography, and film direction, driven by a continuous ambition to merge different art forms into a singular, interdisciplinary practice.
